June 2005
Dear Friends,

Greetings from lovely northern Michigan! My husband and I just returned home after a two-week ramble "down south" and back, successful in our hunt for an apartment near Duke University Divinity School (Tom starts the three-year MDiv program this fall). We officially move to Durham, North Carolina, during the first week in August.

Meanwhile, for those of you who've been asking about book-signings for Dating Mr. Darcy (and my other books too), here's the scoop on what's happening around Michigan. I'll be lining up several other signings at bookstores in North Carolina and Wheaton, IL, this fall. I hope to see some of you there (or here)!

June:
25th (Saturday): Book-signing at
Baker Book House in Grand Rapids, MI, 1-3 p.m.

July:
1st (Friday): "An Evening with Local Authors Sarah Arthur & Kris Rasmussen" at Horizon Bookstore in downtown Petoskey, MI, 7-9 p.m. We'll discuss our books, do a Q&A, and a book-signing: (231) 347-2590. Check out Kris's book,
Wonka Mania, the latest release from thirsty(?) books, just in time for the summer movie of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory starring Johnny Depp.

8th (Friday evening): Book-signing at Lemstone Books in the Grand Traverse Mall, Traverse City, MI, 6-8:30 p.m.: (231) 929-7373.

10th: (Sunday) Leading and speaking at the contemporary worship service, Bay View Association, Petoskey, MI. Evelyn Hall, 8:00 a.m. (231) 347-6225.

13th (Wednesday): "A Jane Austen Evening with Local Author Sarah Arthur" at the Bay View Association, Petoskey, MI. Evelyn Hall, 7:30 p.m. Complete with tea & dessert, discussion, and book-signing. Regency-wear encouraged but not required(!): (231) 347-6225.

15th (Friday evening): Presentation and book-signing with fellow Tyndale author, Kris Rasmussen, at Promises & Praises bookstore in downtown Petoskey, MI, 7-9 p.m.: (231) 347-7404.

Just for fun, you may want to check the newest page of my website for links and resources related to
Jane Austen, Dating Mr. Darcy, and the new movie of Pride & Prejudice starring Keira Knightley (September 2005). The movie trailer is now online and it looks great.

And for all you fantasy fans, more info is posted every day on www.hollywoodjesus.com in anticipation of the December movie The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Can't wait!

Blessings,
