November 2004 -
Special Edition

Dear Friends,

Here are some quick updates from my end:

On Monday, November 22 at 8 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, I will be interviewed for roughly an hour on Sean Herriot’s "Morning Air" show on Relevant Radio Network, which may have an affiliate in your area. Stations include the greater Chicago area, greater Wisconsin, northwest Indiana, Twin Cities, Pittsburg, etc. You can also listen to the live interview through their website. The interview will be about The Lord of the Rings in general, with discussions about Walking with Frodo and my forthcoming book, Walking with Bilbo (February 2005).

In preparation for the release of Walking with Bilbo in February, my website www.saraharthur.com is offering a limited special for preorders of signed copies: Buy one copy of Walking with Frodo (to be shipped immediately) and preorder one copy of Walking with Bilbo and receive free shipping on both (scroll down to the special). Great for Christmas, birthday, and graduation gifts!

The second annual Northern Michigan C.S. Lewis Festival (
www.cslewisfestival.org) wraps up this weekend, and it has been a wonderful success! You can read texts of the talks given by myself and colleague Suzanne Shumway on Nov. 4 by visiting the festival website (click on "Download Sarah’s Manuscript"). We hope you will make plans to visit Petoskey for next year’s festival!

Finally, I’m pleased to announce that my husband Tom has been accepted into the MDiv program at Duke University Divinity School in Durham, NC, starting next fall. What a guy! Please keep us in your prayers as we seek God’s direction for what the next three years will bring.

I hope all is well with you and yours! Have a blessed Thanksgiving holiday.

Sarah
